FlixMV ("we", "us", or "our") operates the FlixMV streaming platform, including the FlixMV website (flixmv.com), mobile applications, and Samsung Smart TV application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.
By using FlixMV, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: Email address and password when you register for an account on our website.
- Profile information: Display name and profile preferences you choose to set.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the FlixMV TV application, the following information is collected automatically:

| TV viewing behavior | What content you watch, playback position, and watch duration. Used to provide the "Continue Watching" feature and personalized recommendations. |
| App usage data | Feature interactions such as navigation between sections (Home, Movies, TV Shows, Anime, Live TV). Used to improve the user experience. |
| IP address | Used for authentication, content delivery, and security purposes. |
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
The FlixMV TV application does not collect:
- Your name, date of birth, age, gender, or phone number
- Payment or financial information (payments are handled through the website only)
- Location or GPS data
- Contacts, calendar, or photos
- Voice recordings or biometric data
- Camera or microphone data
- Browser history, bookmarks, or browsing behavior
- Information from other apps installed on your device
- WiFi SSID, MAC address, or other network identifiers
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Provide the Service: Authenticate your account, deliver streaming content, and manage playback sessions.
- Continue Watching: Track your playback progress so you can resume watching from where you left off, synced across all your devices.
- Personalization: Show personalized content recommendations based on your viewing history.
- Device management: Enforce subscription device limits and manage active sessions.
- Security: Detect unauthorized access and protect against abuse.
- Service improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve features and performance.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encrypted authentication tokens (Sanctum bearer tokens)
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Cloudflare web application firewall protection
- Session-based access control with automatic expiration
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time.
- Watch history and playback progress: Retained for as long as your account is active to provide the Continue Watching feature.
- Device identifiers (DUID): Retained only while the device is paired to your account. Removed immediately when you unpair or log out the device.
- Server logs (IP addresses): Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes, then automatically deleted.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services in connection with the FlixMV TV application:
- Cloudflare: Content delivery, caching, and security. Cloudflare may process your IP address. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- TMDB (The Movie Database): Movie and TV show metadata and images. TMDB does not receive any of your personal information.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notifications for app updates. Firebase may process a device token. Firebase Privacy Policy
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your personal data with advertisers.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can update your account information through the FlixMV website.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
- Device removal: You can unpair any TV or device from your account at any time through the website's device management page.
- Withdraw consent: You can stop using the Service at any time. Unpairing your TV device immediately removes the device identifier from our systems.

7. Children's Privacy
FlixMV is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete such data.
8. International Data Transfers
FlixMV is operated from the Maldives. If you access the Service from outside the Maldives, your data may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
