This Privacy Policy explains how FlixMV (“FlixMV,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use flixmv.com, supported FlixMV apps, and related customer support channels. It applies to account registration, subscriptions, playback, downloads, profiles, support requests, and other interactions with the FlixMV service.

By creating an account, purchasing a plan, watching content, or otherwise using FlixMV, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use FlixMV, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: your name, email address, password hash, profile names, profile preferences, and communication preferences.
  • Subscription and billing information: selected plan, subscription status, billing history, invoices, transaction identifiers, payment status, and processor-provided payment metadata. Payment details are processed by third-party payment providers. FlixMV does not intentionally store raw full-card data such as CVV values.
  • Playback and usage information: watch history, watchlist activity, search queries, ratings or reviews, liked content, progress markers, download actions, and title interactions used to operate the service and improve recommendations.
  • Device and technical information: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, app or browser version, language, session activity, crash information, security logs, and device-limit enforcement data.
  • Customer support information: messages you send to us, support attachments, troubleshooting details, device information you provide, and records of support outcomes.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies, preference cookies, security cookies, and analytics technologies used to keep you signed in, remember choices, and measure service performance.
2. How we use your information

We use personal information to operate FlixMV safely and effectively, including to:

  • create and manage your account, profiles, and entitlements;
  • process subscriptions, recurring renewals, one-time purchases, invoices, and payment verification;
  • stream content, preserve playback progress, manage downloads for eligible titles, and enforce device or plan limits;
  • recommend titles and organize the service around your watch history, language, and profile preferences;
  • monitor platform stability, prevent abuse, investigate suspicious activity, and protect user accounts;
  • respond to support requests, billing disputes, refund questions, privacy requests, and technical problems;
  • comply with applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and law-enforcement obligations; and
  • communicate important service notices such as billing alerts, policy changes, security messages, and major operational updates.
3. When we share information

FlixMV does not sell personal information. We may share information only where reasonably necessary to operate the service or comply with legal obligations, including with:

  • payment providers and financial service partners that help process subscriptions, refunds, and one-time purchases;
  • hosting, storage, CDN, infrastructure, analytics, and security providers that help us run the platform and protect it from fraud or abuse;
  • customer support, communication, and notification providers that help us answer your requests and deliver service notices;
  • content operations and delivery providers used to prepare, cache, or deliver eligible streaming or download experiences; and
  • courts, regulators, law-enforcement authorities, or other parties where disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of FlixMV, our users, or third parties.
4. Cookies, analytics, and service preferences

FlixMV uses cookies and similar technologies to authenticate sessions, keep you signed in, remember selected language or profile choices, measure performance, and improve reliability. If you block essential cookies, some parts of the service may not work properly, including account access and playback continuity.

5. Profiles, recommendations, and downloads

FlixMV may use profile activity, watch history, search behavior, language preferences, and title interactions to personalize rows, recommendations, continue-watching state, and similar in-product experiences.

For eligible plans and supported titles, FlixMV may also process information related to download preparation, download status, selected quality, device eligibility, and entitlement checks for offline viewing. Download availability may vary by plan, title, device type, or rights restrictions.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the service, maintain accurate financial records, respond to support requests, enforce our agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information. For example:

  • account and profile records are generally kept while your account remains active;
  • billing and transaction data may be retained for accounting, fraud, and compliance purposes;
  • security and technical logs may be retained for platform protection and incident review; and
  • support requests may be kept for continuity, quality review, or dispute handling.
7. Your choices and requests

You can review or update some account information directly from your FlixMV account settings. You may also contact us to request account assistance, access corrections, support on device sessions, or deletion-related help.

If you want us to review a privacy or deletion request, contact hello@flixmv.com from the email address connected to your account, or use our Customer Support page. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. International processing

FlixMV may use vendors, infrastructure, or service providers located in different jurisdictions. As a result, your information may be processed or stored outside the country where you use the service. When we rely on third parties, we expect them to handle information under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

9. Children and family use

FlixMV is intended to be used by adults, or by minors under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect account data, session integrity, and billing-related information. No system is perfectly secure, and no internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond quickly to suspected misuse or compromise.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect service changes, legal developments, product improvements, or operational needs. When material updates are made, the revised version will be posted on FlixMV with an updated effective date.
