Terms of Service

Welcome to FlixMV. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and FlixMV ("FlixMV", "we", "us") and govern your use of flixmv.com, the FlixMV mobile and TV apps, our support channels, and any features connected to your FlixMV account (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, signing in, starting a free trial, purchasing a plan, or using the Service in any other way, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use FlixMV.

1. About FlixMV

FlixMV is a digital entertainment service that lets you stream movies, TV series, anime, and selected live channels on supported devices over the internet. Specific titles, channels, languages, audio tracks, subtitles, video quality, and features may vary by plan, device, territory, and the licences we hold at any given time.

2. Your FlixMV account

You can create a FlixMV account using your email and a password, with a Google or Apple sign-in, or with a verified Maldivian mobile number via OTP. You can connect more than one of these sign-in methods to the same account so you can sign in whichever way is most convenient.

You are responsible for the information on your account, for activity that happens through it, and for keeping your password and one-time codes confidential. Please notify us promptly at hello@flixmv.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or be using FlixMV under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf. Profiles marked as "Kids" are subject to additional content restrictions selected by the account owner.

4. Plans and free access

FlixMV is available on a free tier and on paid Flix Premium plans:

  • Free — limited streaming access with advertising, lower video quality, and no downloads.
  • Flix Premium Monthly — 30-day access, ad-free streaming in HD and 4K where available, and up to 3 offline downloads at a time.
  • Flix Premium Quarterly — 90-day access with the same Premium features and up to 6 offline downloads at a time.
  • Flix Premium Annual — 365-day access with the same Premium features and up to 12 offline downloads at a time.

Plan benefits, included features, video quality, download counts, and device limits are described on our Plans page and may be updated. Prices for users in the Maldives are displayed in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR); prices for other regions may be shown in their local currency.

5. Payments, renewals, and automatic billing

Paid plans are billed in advance through the payment method you authorise at checkout. We accept Bank of Maldives (BML) cards through Swipe and international cards through Stripe, and we may add or change supported payment methods over time. Bank transfer payments may be available for selected plans, subject to manual review and approval.

Unless we tell you otherwise during purchase, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan. You authorise FlixMV and its payment partners to charge your payment method for these renewals until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime from your account. When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it will not renew after that. You will not be charged again unless you resubscribe.

6. Refund policy

We offer a 3-day money-back guarantee on your first paid FlixMV subscription. If you change your mind within 3 calendar days of your first paid purchase on your account, contact us at hello@flixmv.com from the email registered to your account and we will refund the full amount of that purchase.

After the 3-day window has passed, and for any subsequent renewals or additional purchases, payments are non-refundable. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period.

Refunds for payments made by bank transfer are returned to the originating bank account. Refunds for card payments are returned to the original card. Once approved, refunds usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund right you may have under Maldivian consumer law.

7. Devices, profiles, and household use

FlixMV is for personal, household use. You can create multiple profiles on the same account, sign in on multiple supported devices, and switch between them. Limits on simultaneous streams, registered devices, and active downloads depend on your plan and may be enforced automatically. If account use looks like sharing outside a household, we may sign devices out, limit streams, or ask you to verify the account.

8. Downloads and offline viewing

Eligible Premium plans let you download selected titles for offline viewing on supported FlixMV apps. Downloads are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only, remain part of the Service, and are subject to these Terms.

Not every title is downloadable, the set of downloadable titles can change at any time because of licensing or other operational reasons, and downloads may expire, be revoked, or stop working if you cancel your subscription, exceed your plan's download limit, or sign out of the device.

You may not copy, decrypt, redistribute, extract, re-upload, broadcast, share, sell, or commercially exploit downloaded files in any form.

9. Acceptable use

When you use FlixMV you agree not to:

  • share your account or sign-in credentials in a way that bypasses plan, device, or household limits;
  • copy, redistribute, scrape, record, re-encode, mirror, or commercially exploit any part of the Service or its content;
  • bypass or attempt to bypass security, DRM, entitlement checks, geo-restrictions, ad-supported tiers, anti-bot protections, or other technical restrictions;
  • use bots, scripts, scrapers, headless browsers, automation, or stress-testing tools against the Service;
  • upload malicious code, attempt to access another user's account or our infrastructure without authorisation, or interfere with normal operation of the Service;
  • resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to FlixMV or any content on it; or
  • use FlixMV in violation of any applicable law, third-party right, or these Terms.

10. Content libraries and availability

Our content library changes over time. Titles, channels, audio tracks, subtitles, video qualities, features, and regional availability may be added, removed, restricted, replaced, delayed, or reclassified at any time because of licensing, rights windows, regional restrictions, technical issues, or business decisions. We do not guarantee that any specific title, episode, channel, language, audio track, subtitle, or feature will remain continuously available.

11. Intellectual property

FlixMV, the FlixMV name and logo, the platform, software, design, metadata, recommendations, and the selection and arrangement of content are protected by intellectual-property laws and remain the property of FlixMV or its licensors. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of content or platform IP to you.

12. Suspension or termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, where reasonably necessary — for example for non-payment, suspected fraud, chargebacks, account compromise, repeated abuse, unlawful activity, violation of these Terms, or a request from a competent authority. You can close your FlixMV account at any time from your account or by contacting us. Closing your account does not by itself refund any payments outside the refund policy above.

13. Service availability and disclaimers

FlixMV is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis. We work to keep the Service reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, continuous title or channel access, error-free playback, or compatibility with every device, browser, operating system, network, or country.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FlixMV is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary loss arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or service interruptions. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to FlixMV in the 3 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, give reasonable notice through the Service or by email. The updated Terms take effect when posted unless a later effective date is stated. If you continue to use FlixMV after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.

We may also add, remove, or change features, plans, prices, content, supported devices, payment methods, and operational rules as part of running the Service.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and your use of FlixMV are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the competent courts of the Maldives. Nothing in this section affects mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
